COLOUR CO-ORDINATING πΊ

I did plan this cocktail around the branding colours ππ, but it’s also one I’ve not shaken up in a while and I really fancied it! When making an Aviation cocktail, I like to use butterflypea flowers to colour the gin, so that it gives it a pretty purple colour, rather than blue-grey.
It can be quite a floral cocktail, so if that isn’t your preference, go light on the crème de violette or leave it out, as this was not included in the first Aviation recipes that were found.
I’ve made this using LoneWolf Original Juniper Gin, which is packed with Tuscan juniper – 5x more than an average craft gin - lemon, grapefruit and lavender, with a hint of pepper. It’s crafted in a copper pot still in Aberdeenshire and prides itself from standing apart from the pack. I’m so pleased they brought back the wolf branding for this and love the new bottle design as well.
LoneWolf Original Juniper Gin stands up well to the floral flavours of the Aviation, but if that’s not your bag, then I suggest serving this gin up with a crisp tonic and slice of grapefruit.
